About the Event
Blk Out Fest is a bouldering festival produced by First Outdoor Company in partnership with Lookout Mountain Conservancy focused on celebrating and cultivating Black excellence in climbing. Held on the ancestral and stolen lands of the ᏣᎳᎫᏪᏘᏱ Tsalaguwetiyi (Cherokee, East), S’atsoyaha (Yuchi) Indigenous Tribes in Chattanooga, Tennessee, this festival features a networking welcome party & mixer, games and activities, wellness & bouldering workshops and a fellowship dinner celebrating Black creatives, athletes and entrepreneurs.
Day Pass includes:
- Access to festival activities either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday
- Dinner on Saturday
- Gift Bag
Important Note: You will be required to sign a video/image release & event waiver upon entering the festival grounds. Must be 18+ to attend.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Attendees can expect a safe and educational space for new climbers who are inspired experienced Black climbers. There will be intentional community discussions, Black-owned business vendors and & guest speakers centering the Black climber experience.

WHERE TO STAY
Limited bunk spots can be added on but all registered festival guests can enjoy 10% at the Crash Pad. There are also plenty of hotels and airbnbs in the Downtown Chattanooga area.
PARKING & TRANSPORTATION
Parking is reserved for weekend festival guests which may be full. There is adddtional parking in a lower lot of the park but the lot closes at sunset. We strongly encourage carpooling.
MENTORSHIP DAY
On Sunday from 10am-2pm, we will be hosting a Boulder Buddy mentorship Trail Day with WeClimb Chattanooga, Lookout Mountain Conservancy and Southeastern Climbers Coalition. Mentors will be paired up with WeClimb mentees as we service the Wauhatchie Boulders.
REFUND POLICY
There are no refunds! If you are no longer able to attend, you can transfer your ticket to another individual or try to sell it on our Blk Out Fest group.
RAINOUT
This event is rain or shine. In the event of rain, climbing activities will be held at High Point Climbing. Please complete the waiver to expedite check-in. *schedule subject to change.
